Hungarian citizens have the possibility to register any registry event that happened abroad via the Consular Services. The Consulate assists the Hungarian authorities in collecting the necessary documents and submitting them to Hungary, but the registration itself is done by the Government Office of the Capital City of Budapest (BFKH, Budapest Főváros Kormányhivatala).

In case the registry event happened in Jordan, certificates can be requested from the Ministry of Interior, Civil Status and Passport Department. All certificates must be legalised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in advance of visiting the Consulate!

In order to submit the request for registration, applicants must book an appointment via our online booking system and fill out the necessary documents. Appointments without any of the required/unfilled papers will be cancelled and the applicant must book another date later!

The registration is free of charge.
