Official Visit by Hungary's Minister or Foreign Affairs and Trade
During his visit to Jordan Minister of State for Education Prof. József Bódis met today H.E. Dr. Walid Maani, Minister of Education and Higher Education and they signed a framework agreement for higher educational exchange. Prof. Bódis also visited the University of Jordan where he was met by its President, Prof. Abdel Karim Al-Qudah.
As of 1 January 2019 consular fees are collected in Jordanian dinar.
Director General of the Hungarian "Széchenyi" National Library, Prof. László Tüske, President Dr. Abdel-Karim Al-Qudah and Amb. Csaba Czibere inagurated today the Hungarian Corner at the Central Library of the University of Jordan in Amman.
Amb. Csaba Czibere today in the presence of Msgr. William Shomali, Latin Patriarchal Vicar in Jordan inaugurated the renovated heating system of the school and the kindergarden of the Latin parish church of Marka. The project was funded by Hungary Helps, a government aid programme.
The 29th European Film Festival was held between 23 November and 2 December, 2017 in the Haya Cultural Center in Amman, where the Hungarian Oscar-winning film „Sing” was also screened in the programme.
At the invitation of H.M. King Abdullah II, President of Hungary H.E. János Áder payed an official visit to Jordan. He held a series of bilateral talks and participated at the opening of the 8th World Science Forum at the Dead Sea.
At the invitation of his counterpart, Col.General Dr. Tibor Benkő, Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff, Jordanian Armed Forces Lt.General Mahmoud Freihat payed an official visit to Hungary between 25-27 October, 2017, where he also met Minister of Defence István Simicskó.
On September 28 renowned Hungarian violin and theremin artist Katica Illényi gave an outstanding concert in Amman's Al-Hussein Cultural Center. She was accompanied by musicians of the Jordanian National Orchestra, conducted by Mohammad Siddiq.
